Michael L. Baum is the president and managing partner of Baum, Hedlund, Aristei & Goldman. Ronald L. M. Goldman is a senior partner and the firm’s vice president and secretary. R. Brent Wisner is one of Baum, Hedlund, Aristei & Goldman’s lead trial attorneys. He also a senior partner and vice president. He concentrates his practice on toxic tort cases, whistleblower and qui tam claims, pharmaceutical class action litigation, Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) litigation, and consumer fraud litigation. Brent earned notoriety in 2018 and 2019 when he served on the trial teams in all three of the first Roundup cancer lawsuits to proceed to trial. A. Ilyas Akbari is a partner and bioengineer at Baum, Hedlund, Aristei & Goldman’s and has participated in many of the firm’s most successful cases. He is an experienced aviation litigator and has worked on 180 aviation accident cases since 2005. He has extensive experience litigating airline crashes, small plane accidents and helicopter crash cases against Robinson Helicopters, and he served as an integral trial member in a case against Bell Helicopter, resulting in a settlement after several weeks of trial. He was also part of the legal team that obtained one of the largest truck accident verdicts in Ohio history. Ilyas is Plaintiff Vice-Chair to the Aviation and Space Law General Committee of the American Bar Association. Bijan Esfandiari is a partner at Baum Hedlund and focuses his practice on pharmaceutical and medical device product liability litigation, class actions, and whistleblower claims. Timothy A. Loranger is a partner of Baum Hedlund, a pilot and avid citizen advocate who concentrates his practice on product liability, aviation, and commercial ground transportation accidents resulting in personal injury or wrongful death. A Marine Corps veteran who served in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Tim is the firm’s lead military accident attorney.
