J. Clark Aristei handles the firm’s commercial transportation disaster litigation and currently focuses a significant part of his practice on two of the worst train disasters in recent history. He represents 22 passengers from the 2005 Metrolink Glendale, California derailment and the 2008 Metrolink Chatsworth, California disaster. Aristei is Plaintiffs’ Liaison Counsel for the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee which is preparing the Metrolink Glendale cases for trial. He is a former adjunct professor of law.
Ronald L. M. Goldman is a veteran trial lawyer, former adjunct law professor and pilot, and the firm’s senior trial attorney. He is board certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Goldman’s most recent verdict of $7M was very significant and one of the largest verdicts in Ohio’s state’s history for the death of an unmarried person. That case arose out of a Tyson Foods truck accident on May 29, 2004 near Crestline, Ohio. Mr. Goldman is currently focusing on the firm’s upcoming Paxil suicide trials, the first of which will take place in Philadelphia in May of this year.
John A. Greaves retired from a 37-year pilot career and has since been handling the firm’s aviation disaster cases. Greaves’ specialized aviation knowledge and technical expertise has been a great asset in his handling of more than 35 different airline disasters for the firm. He has been appointed to four airline disaster Plaintiffs’ Steering Committees and was part of the team of Baum Hedlund attorneys with Ronald Goldman which acquired an unprecedented official public apology by a commercial airline. The accident giving rise to the apology was the crash of Air Midwest Flight 5481 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
