Most Zantac lawsuits are consolidated in a federal multidistrict litigation (“MDL”) before U.S. District Court Judge for the Southern District of Florida, the Honorable Robin L. Rosenberg.

The federal Zantac MDL is captioned 20-MD-2924-Rosenberg - In Re: Zantac (Ranitidine) Products Liability Litigation.

Zantac cases have also been filed in the following alternate jurisdictions to the MDL:

California

Florida

Illinois (Cook County)

Minnesota (Minneapolis)

New Jersey

New York

Oregon (Portland)

Pennsylvania (Philadelphia)

Washington (Seattle)

As of June 2021, certain Zantac cases can also be filed in California state court. Cases in California state court will be a part of the “Ranitidine Product Cases” Judicial Council Coordinated Proceedings (“JCCP”) 5150. The Honorable Evelio Grillo for the Superior Court of Alameda is the judge overseeing the Ranitidine Products Cases JCCP 5150 (also known simply as the California Zantac JCCP). Baum Hedlund Aristei & Goldman Zantac attorney R. Brent Wisner serves on the litigation leadership as one of two plaintiffs’ liaisons.
