KCAL9 News in Los Angeles interviewed aviation attorney John Greaves about safety precautions that could change air travel. A new breed of highjackers means a need for new safety measures. The FAA is now considering safety measures that could include arming pilots. The Airline Pilots Association supports arming pilots and other unions are expected to do the same, there also increasing talk about bringing back sky marshalls. Some pilots want emergency maneuvers as part of the training to deter highjackers. Sleeping gas, Sky marshalls, Armed pilots were what once unthinkable may soon be the norm.
