FAA Investigating Shocking Spike in Near Misses over New York City

With more and more passengers traveling by plane, the push to accommodate everyone may be affecting our safety in the air. Aviation attorney Ron Goldman was interviewed by Fox News Channel’s Neil Cavuto on what needs to happen to make our skies safer. The New York metro area is the busiest airspace in the country.  There were five near misses involving commercial airliners in just the past month, seven this year so far.  Air Traffic Controllers say the solution is to bring in more air traffic controllers.  The FAA disagrees. Experts agree that new technology is needed including a complete overhaul of the ATC system; we need 21st century systems to replace the 1960s technology.
