Truck Accident Settlements and Trials

Whether we take truck cases to trial or settle them, we at Baum, Hedlund, Aristei & Goldman always do what is in the best interests of our clients. Some clients prefer to have their case resolved before trial while others desire to see their case result in a trial. Regardless of the final outcome, we feel that preparing each case as if it were going to trial has a significant impact on the behavior of the defendants in settlement negotiations and trial.

Our most recent truck accident trial was in December of 2006, in which our firm successfully brought to trial a commercial truck accident case in Ohio where our clients were awarded $7,028,687 for the loss of their son, a single young adult.

On October 10, 2007, the judge denied the defendant’s motion for a new trial and not only upheld our $7M verdict but increased it so that together with pre-judgment and post-judgment interest the verdict is currently valued at $8.5M.
