Katherine Harvey-Lee is an attorney at Baum, Hedlund, Aristei & Goldman and focuses her practice on major transportation accidents resulting in catastrophic personal injury or wrongful death, including vehicular products liability actions. She has worked on many complex and difficult cases and has experience handling many different types of mass disaster cases, including aviation accidents, traumatic brain injury cases, truck crashes, and automotive defect cases.

Ms. Harvey-Lee holds an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While an undergraduate and research assistant for the Software Engineering Institute, she published a major technical report on maintaining quality assurance in large organizations during the development of software and other engineered products.   She earned her law degree from Whittier Law School, where she graduated third in a class of over 150.

In law school, Katherine was a teaching assistant in both civil procedure and legal writing, and received the Southern California Defense Scholar award for the top school-wide performance in torts and legal writing.  During this time, she was a law clerk in the chambers of Justice Earl Johnson, Jr., with the California Second District Court of Appeals, Seventh Division, and also led competitive teams for both the Moot Court and Trial Advocacy Honors boards.

After law school, she began her career as a member of the panel for the California Fourth District Court of Appeals, where she performed appellate work on behalf of indigent clients.  Since then, Katherine has worked on catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases at several of California’s most prestigious plaintiffs’ firms, focusing primarily on issues of automotive and transportation safety.   Katherine has been selected as a Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Star three times in the area of plaintiffs’ products liability litigation.  She has published articles in The Advocate, the journal of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) and has lectured in the basics of personal injury practice for the Orange County Bar Association.
